Amplify your voice and drown out your inner critic through Gateless Writing, an empowering communal writing practice that combines Zen mindfulness and creative neuroscience.
In honor of my birthday month, I'm hosting a special sliding scale Gateless Writing salon on Sunday, May 21 at 11 a.m. ET! Tickets start at $25. During this two-hour workshop, you will receive an introduction to the Gateless Writing method, center yourself with a brief meditation, spend 20 to 25 minutes writing in community, and have the opportunity to share your work in a structured, supportive feedback circle.
I can’t wait to write with you!
Here's what past attendees had to say about their experience with Gateless:
“I loved the combination of Zen, neuroscience, and positive feedback to create optimal conditions for creativity. Meg thoroughly explained the Gateless Writing Method, led an amazing guided meditation, provided us with a thoughtful writing prompt, and then demonstrated how to give feedback. Her nurturing manner put me at ease, and I was able to access my creativity and write something that surprised me. Meg and the other writers in the group offered thoughtful and insightful feedback that made me excited to follow this thread to see where it goes.” – Trinity Fuentes, writer and editor
“This workshop reminded me that my work is powerful. The feedback from fellow writers allowed me to look at my writing from vantage points I wouldn't otherwise consider. Knowing in detail the impact my writing has on different ears was impactful and exciting.” – Allie Baker, hobbyist
“Meg, you did a wonderful job of setting up boundaries that enabled everyone to feel safe. While I've done workshops with a similar approach that were not labeled under the Gateless system, I feel the groundwork before the writing really sets it apart. The meditation leading into the writing worked as a great launching pad, getting us into an expansive headspace. I love being surprised by what comes out of a prompt, and this session felt so timely. And the feedback from everyone was encouraging and helpful in seeing my writing from multiple perspectives.” – Heather Hardy
